Arthur Weston was born on 15th January 1884, the son of William and Jane Weston of Stourbridge. He entered Old Swinford Hospital on 15th December 1891 and left the school on 20th June 1899 to go to the Great western Railway Company at Stourbridge as a messenger.

A Stourbridge Victim of German Submarine
Leading Stoker Petty Officer Arthur Weston of Stourbridge, perished in the minesweeper ‘Genista’, which was sunk last week by a German submarine. Stoker Weston was 32 years old, had been in the navy for 16 years, and leaves a widow and child. He was an Old Boy of Old Swinford Hospital.
