Hubert Belcher enlisted in the Cheshire Regiment for the duration of the war on 25th February 1916 at Wrexham. He was posted overseas to France on 22nd September 1916 and in May and July 1917 he was admitted to hospital with Enteritis. In August 1917 he spent 5 days in hospital undergoing treatment for Impetigo. Hubert was killed in action on 24th May 1918.
